Moving equipment for a new airport to Africa

A construction company asked us to help fly 140 tonnes of facilities equipment from various locations in China to Africa for the launch of a new airport. The heavy and outsized cargo needed to arrive in time to set up for the opening ceremony, so we set about finding a quick solution to ensure it was delivered promptly.

Our Solution

Route: China > Africa

Aircraft: Boeing 747-400F

We suggested transporting the goods to depart from Tianjin Airport, which has lots of experience handling oversized loads.

The charter was taking place in the run-up to peak season, so flight capacity was limited. Leveraging our airline relationships, we were able to secure a Boeing 747-400F from an operator we worked with regularly.

The Finer Details

Rapid Response: Our team found a solution within hours of receiving this urgent request.

Flight Representation: We were on-hand at the airport to oversee the loading of the cargo and make sure the flight departed smoothly.
