Last-minute charter to Las Vegas Grand Prix
One of our Empyrean jet card holders asked us to help fly them from Canada to the Las Vegas Grand Prix with friends. The request came in just a few weeks before the high-profile event when landing slots and parking were limited, so meticulous planning was needed to confirm the details in time.
Our Solution
Route: Toronto > Henderson > St George > Toronto
Aircraft: Bombardier Challenger 300
Our team initially sourced a Gulfstream G200 that could comfortably transport the group of eight. When the aircraft later became unavailable, we worked with the operator and quickly replaced it with a Bombardier Challenger 300.
Landing slots were limited in Las Vegas amidst high demand during the grand prix, with no availability at all at Harry Reid International Airport. Henderson Executive Airport had landing slots but no parking slots, so we arranged to fly the passengers there before parking the aircraft at nearby St George Regional Airport.
Short landing slots led to the outbound flight almost missing its arrival window at Henderson. Knowing the airport would be just as busy after the race, we avoided delays on the return leg by arranging for the group to drive to St George and depart from there.
