Arranging a surprise wedding anniversary charter
A client in Germany wanted to surprise her husband on their 30th wedding anniversary with a private jet charter to their holiday home in Lugano, Switzerland. Lugano is notoriously difficult to land at due to the airport’s mountainous location and steep descent, so we set about sourcing a suitable aircraft for the couple’s special occasion.
Our Solution
Route: Dortmund > Lugano > Dortmund
Aircraft: Diamond DA62
We reached out to local operators and sourced a Pilatus PC-12 and a Diamond DA62, both of which were able to land in Lugano and had availability on the dates of the trip.
After considering both options, we proceeded with the DA62, as we’d already worked with the operator on several other charters to Lugano and knew their crew flew there regularly.
We arranged Champagne onboard the aircraft so the couple could toast their anniversary.
