Valletta, the Maltese capital, has been crowned the European Capital of Culture for 2018 – and with sites like St. John’s Cathedral, a stunning example of Baroque architecture, and City Gate, built in 2011 by Italian architect Renzo Piano, it certainly lives up to its name.
