GULFSTREAM G300

GULFSTREAM G300

  • Passengers 14

With plenty of cabin and luggage space, the Gulfstream G300 is the perfect charter option for covering international distances in luxury.

About this aircraft

  • The G300 was certified in 2003, with just 13 manufactured before production ceased the following year.
  • It can complete non-stop flights from New York to Los Angeles and Paris to Dubai.
  • The generous baggage hold has space for 16 suitcases.
  • A high-density cabin layout can seat 15 passengers with an extra seat in the enclosed lavatory, but the vast majority are configured for 12-14 passengers.

The Gulfstream G300 is one of the fastest heavy jets in its class, with a larger cabin and baggage hold than most of its competitors. Based on the successful Gulfstream IV (G-IV), it’s one of many variations including the Gulfstream IV-SP, G450 and G350.

Interior design

The Gulfstream G300 is a very spacious aircraft for up to 16 passengers. The cabin is normally divided into three distinct seating zones, with various configurations available.

A typical layout features a four-seat club in the front, followed by a divan and two further seats in the middle section. The aft section has four more seats in a conference style, an enclosed lavatory, and a galley large enough for preparing hot and cold food and drinks.

The G300 offers a comfortable onboard experience, with 12 signature windows and a 100% fresh air system.

Below are some typical configurations for a Gulfstream G300.

Interesting facts to know before you fly

  • Gulfstream’s large, oval signature windows flood the cabin with natural light and are positioned so you can see the world below from the comfort of your seat.
  • The wide cabin gives passengers plenty of space to stretch their legs.
  • The baggage hold is one of the largest in its class with room for 16 suitcases, meaning every passenger can bring an item of luggage.

Technological features

The G300’s two Rolls-Royce TAY 611-8 engines give a total thrust output of 27,700 lbs. This means the aircraft can fly 14 passengers from Chicago to London at a speed of 0.8 Mach.

The aircraft features a Honeywell SPZ-8400 integrated avionics suite with a six-tube electronic flight instrument system. Instruments available for this avionics package include dual Collins 442 distance measuring equipment, triple Collins VHR-442B comms with dual Collins VIR-432 navs, a Honeywell Primus 880 weather radar, Dual Collins TDR-94D with flight ID and enhanced surveillance capabilities, and Honeywell head-up display (HUD).

History

Gulfstream announced the G300 in December 2002, immediately after ceasing production of the GIV. The new aircraft was designed to meet growing demand for a stand-up cabin with generous aisle space and comfortable seating, without the need for long-range capability.

The jet was first delivered in 2003 but, despite ticking various boxes for consumers, production ended just a year later. Despite its relative rarity in the market, the G300 offers charter passengers ample space, a large baggage hold and luxurious amenities.
