• Delivered in 2011, the Falcon 2000S is a shorter-range version of the 2000LX with better short-field performance and a more modern interior.
• With a maximum range of 3,855 miles, it can fly non-stop from London to New York and Paris to Dubai.
• Very few Falcon 2000S jets are equipped to fly 19 passengers. Most are configured for between eight and 12 people, especially for charter purposes.

While released by Dassault as a super-midsize jet, the 2000S is more aligned with aircraft in the heavy jet class in terms of performance and charter price. Interior Design

The Dassault Falcon 2000S has one of the quietest cabins in its class, with a cruising volume of just 52 decibels – equivalent to a conversation at home or a running refrigerator. A FalconCabin HD+ system supports portable devices and allows access to play Blu-ray DVDs, with links to 10 individual screens. Passengers can also control functions like temperature and lighting through an iPhone or iPad.

The spacious DesignWorks interior is typically arranged into two zones for up to 12 passengers. The front features four large seats separated by a fold-away table and the aisle, while at the back there’s a three-seat divan alongside a four-seat dining area that converts into a double bed for night flights. At the rear is an enclosed lavatory and a sizable galley.

• With a landing distance of just 705 metres, the 2000S was the first aircraft in its family to be certified for London City Airport.

Technological features

The Falcon 2000S is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW308C turbofan engines with Talon II combustors that reduce nitrous oxide emissions by 20%.

The EASy II avionics suite includes hardware and software upgrades for improved vision, better navigation and clearer weather information, along with a synthetic vision system, improved flight management system, dual Jeppesen charts and a runway awareness and advisory system.

History

Entering service in 1995, the Falcon 2000 was Dassault’s first private jet to be entirely designed using digital technology, resulting in improved aerodynamics and simplified systems. Production ceased in 2006 as Dassault concentrated on developing variants and upgrades.

The 2000EX launched in 2003 with improved range and updated avionics, before being renamed the 2000EX EASy following the addition of a Honeywell Primus Epic EASy integrated modular avionics suite and cockpit display system. The 2000DX and 2000LX variants followed in 2007, with the latter boasting a 4,769-mile range thanks to revolutionary new winglets.

The 2000S entered the market in 2011 as an ultra-modern, reduced-range version of the LX with a comparatively lower purchase price and fuel efficiency. Its short-range capabilities opened up 50% more airports than other aircraft in this class, including London City. Dassault began delivering the upgraded 2000LXS in 2013.
