We take a look at what exactly makes up a charter flight, the benefits and why people choose to use them.

What is a charter flight?

A charter flight is when you book an entire aircraft, and you can set your own schedule. You choose which airports you fly to, and from, as well as what time you would like to depart. At ACS we have both a private jet team, who take care of arranging charters for groups of up to 19 passengers, and a group travel team, who cater to those needing larger aircraft for over 19 passengers.

What are the benefits of using a charter?

It’s all about comfort and convenience, so you choose the aircraft, which airports you want to use and what time you would like to depart. This means you can choose airports closer to the trips start and end destinations, including those not serviced by scheduled airlines, meaning less lengthy road transfers. Not only that, but in most cases you’ll be able to utilise smaller airports, FBOs and private terminals so you don’t have to deal with the queues and crowds of regular airports.

Once onboard you can choose your own catering, to fit your specific requirements, whether those are around nutrition, allergies or even something like an event theme. There’s also more baggage flexibility, so if you’re travelling for sports, such as a ski trip, as part of an incentive or business trip, or for an event, there’s space for everything. If travelling as part of a larger group, it also means you have the entire aircraft at your disposal, so your group can all fly as one, rather than trying to book blocks of seats on multiple flights which can be a logistical nightmare.

Why do people charter?

There’s a whole host of reasons people choose to charter a private aircraft, some do it for leisure or incentives, kicking off that trip in style and ensuring they land ready to make the most of the trip. Others, for business, to maximise efficiency and ensure they’re ready to go when they land. Whether that’s for a meeting, conference, trade show or even a product launch, we’ve handled flights for all.

How is a charter organised with us?

Firstly, we take the time to really understand your requirements, so we can choose the right route, aircraft, and schedule.
