Stay at Sir Richard Branson’s mountain retreat for the ultimate luxury ski escape high in the Swiss Alps.

The Lodge, Verbier

Stay at Sir Richard Branson’s personal mountain hideaway for the ultimate ski escape. Nestled high in the Swiss Alps with stunning views of the snowy slopes, this all-inclusive luxury chalet is a charming home-from-home with a pool, hot tubs and a friendly team of staff including a spa therapist and Michelin-trained chefs.

DINING

Mealtimes at The Lodge are a communal affair, served either around the large dining-room table or alfresco on the terrace in the fresh mountain air. A team of talented in-house chefs trained by Raymond Blanc will work with you to create tailor-made menus using locally sourced produce, complemented by an extensive drinks selection encompassing top-quality wines, beers, spirits and champagne.

Meals can be as formal or relaxed as you wish, from canapés and four-course gourmet feasts to Swiss fondue nights, and there’s an endless supply of freshly-baked treats available to nibble on throughout the day. If you’re heading out to explore, ask for a gourmet picnic lunch to take with you and enjoy on the mountainside.

ACTIVITIES

Adventures and excursions

The Lodge is nestled in Verbier, an exclusive resort in the renowned Four Valleys where you can access over 400 kilometres of pistes with a single pass. The chalet is in a perfect location for the slopes, set on a quiet road just 250 metres from the main ski lifts and backing onto one of the returning pistes for ski-in access. The outdoor adventure continues during the off-peak summer months with biking, hiking and paragliding.

Skilled in-house ski instructors are on-hand to provide tailored lessons for all levels, as well as arranging your equipment hire and lift passes. After a day on the slopes, relax in the spa or play pool under a glitterball whilst sipping drinks from the private bar in the party area. Kids will love skating on their very own mini ice rink.

The Spa at The Lodge

Spread across the chalet’s basement level, this private spa is the ultimate indulgence in your home away from home. Prep for the pistes in the gym or nine-metre lap pool, returning later to soothe aching muscles in one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs and the eucalyptus-infused steam room. A range of pampering massages, facials and beauty treatments are available on request, leaving you feeling restored and raring to get back out onto the mountains.

ROOM TYPES

The five-storey chalet sleeps up to 18 adults and six children in nine beautifully decorated rooms and suites with uninterrupted mountain views. Two master suites sit on the top floor, while four large bedrooms and three standard rooms are spread between the second and third floors, including a dorm-style bunk room for children with bean bags and games consoles. Individually designed spaces blend traditional and modern elements with king-size beds, spacious bathrooms, rustic furniture and cosy fur throws.

Spotlight on the Master Suites

Taking up the entire top floor of the chalet, the two stunning master suites are elegantly styled with wooden beams, centrepiece fireplaces and large private balconies commanding awe-inspiring mountain views. Sleek marble bathrooms come with huge soaking tubs and rain showers, while fully-stocked minibars and underfloor heating add to the cosy ambience.
