Moving theme park equipment from Romania
In June 2022, we were asked to help transport an inflatable obstacle course from Romania to a new theme park in California in time for its grand opening. The client couldn’t confirm the cargo’s exact specifications until it had been packed, so we needed to pre-book a flexible solution that covered all eventualities.
Our Solution
Route: Romania > Frankfurt > Seattle > Los Angeles
Aircraft: Airbus A330-200
With 24 hours to go, we were advised the shipment comprised 18 pallets weighing 4,700kg. We arranged a dry van to truck the cargo from Romania to Frankfurt, where it was loaded onto a passenger flight to Seattle.
Despite this not being a private charter, our team had managed to block space on the flight for 10 tonnes of air freight in advance, ensuring there was enough room for the pallets once the final details were confirmed by the client.
After clearing customs in Seattle, we organised for the shipment to be trucked to the theme park site in Los Angeles in time to be installed before it opened.
