Dubai’s largest resort boasts three luxury hotels and a collection of summerhouses

Madinat Jumeirah

Sprawling across nearly 100 acres of Dubai’s prestigious Jumeirah neighbourhood, the emirate’s largest resort is a five-star destination within a destination. Designed in the style of a traditional Arabian town, this larger-than-life mega-resort comprises three boutique luxury hotels (royal palace-style Jumeirah Al Qasr and beachfront retreats Jumeirah Mina A'Salam and Jumeirah Al Naseem), a courtyard collection of summerhouses and endless amenities and attractions, all linked together by five kilometres of man made waterways serviced by abra boats.

DINING

With over 50 world-class restaurants and bars spread between the hotels and souk, this extraordinary resort is home to some of Dubai’s most acclaimed dining options – including a plethora of award-winning eateries run by top chefs. There’s something here to suit every palate, from lavish afternoon teas and beachside seafood platters to Mediterranean fine dining, alfresco Thai cuisine and Spanish-style tapas. There are too many restaurants to list them all, but favourites include modern Chinese cuisine at waterside Zheng He’s and Pierchic’s refined Italian dishes on a private pier.

ACTIVITIES

Madinat Jumeirah guests enjoy the use of facilities across the resort, and you’ll struggle to experience everything this mini-city has to offer during one stay. Book a massage at the tranquil spa or work out in the state-of-the-art fitness centre, before sipping cocktails by one of the many indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There’s also a two-kilometre private beach, complete with a scuba diving centre and watersports like kayaking, hobie cat sailing, windsurfing and wakeboarding. Back on terra firma, wander through the Arabian-style souk discovering vibrant market stalls, theatres and restaurants. Little ones will love meeting turtles at the rehabilitation centre and making new friends at the fun-packed kids’ club

ROOM TYPES

You’ll be bowled over wherever you choose to stay within the Madinat Jumeirah. Rooms and suites are styled differently at each of the resort’s three hotels, so there’s an option to suit every taste – traditionalists will love Mina A'Salam’s sumptuous havens with sea-view balconies and Al Qasr’s antique furnishings and marble bathrooms, while Al Naseem’s sleek design appeals to those seeking a more contemporary vibe. Perfect for larger groups and families, Dar Al Masyaf’s charming summerhouses sit amongst peaceful waterways and offer private courtyards and personalised butler service.
