Flying fabric for PPE gowns from Miami to Guatemala

During the Covid-19 pandemic in April 2020, a freight forwarder asked us to transport rolls of fabric from Florida to Guatemala, where they were urgently needed for the manufacture of PPE gowns for healthcare workers.

The cargo was being delivered without freight containers, so we needed to find an operator who could build these on-site.

Our Solution

Route: Miami > Guatemala City

Aircraft: Boeing B737-300F

Several aircraft were needed to transport this large consignment to Guatemala. As the cargo wasn’t arriving pre-packed in freight containers, our experienced team decided to fly the entire consignment with one carrier with the capacity to store it and build the containers on-site. Our chosen airline warehoused the cargo and built the containers according to which aircraft was due to fly next, ensuring everything fit perfectly onboard and was delivered promptly.
