Flying an Australian film crew to Cairns
In July 2022, a production travel manager asked us to help fly an Australian film crew from the Gold Coast to Cairns, where they were carrying out a site visit of a filming location. Using scheduled services would mean arranging overnight accommodation for the group of 50, whereas they could complete the round-trip in one day with a private jet charter, but we needed to overcome aircraft and crew shortages to find the best solution.
Our Solution
Route: Coolangatta > Cairns > Coolangatta
Aircraft: Embraer ERJ-145
We chartered an Embraer ERJ-145 that was available at a competitive price and could comfortably accommodate the passengers and their equipment.
When the aircraft crew contracted Covid-19 days before the charter, we rearranged the flight to take place after their isolation period had ended and kept the client informed throughout.

Flight Representation: We sent an on-board charter manager to oversee the departure flight by coordinating oversized luggage, ensuring Covid-19 tests were completed and boarding passengers for an on-time departure.
