Flying a US governor to an important dinner
In June 2022, a high-end travel agent who often works with ACS Australia asked us to arrange a round-trip charter for a US governor, who was travelling with his wife and security team from Midwestern America to an important dinner in California and wanted to return home straight after the engagement. With the charter taking place in the United States but the travel agent preferring to deal with their usual contact in our Sydney office, we needed to work across time zones to pull off this confidential last-minute request.

Route: Midwestern USA > California > Midwestern USA
Aircraft: Learjet 45
Our broker in Sydney liaised with colleagues in the United States to source a Learjet 45 and deliver a quote within hours of receiving the request. Availability was limited, but we managed to secure the client’s approval in time to book the aircraft.
We pre-warned the operator that some flexibility would be needed, which ensured there were no issues when the governor decided to delay his return flight at short notice. The round-trip charter ran seamlessly from start to finish and the client was very happy.
