A ‘go-now’ aircraft charter solution was needed to deliver a replacement part when a corporate team’s private jet was unexpectedly grounded.

Expediting a replacement part for a grounded corporate jet

We were asked to arrange delivery of a small replacement part when a corporate client’s own private jet became grounded due to a minor technical issue. With the aircraft needed to fly senior business executives to several important engagements later that evening, we set about finding an urgent solution to deliver the part and get the aircraft back in service as soon as possible.

Our Solution

Route: Wisconsin > Arkansas

Aircraft: Learjet 35

Springing into action, within an hour we’d sourced several aircraft with availability for the ‘go-now’ charter. A Learjet 35 was the fastest option, while a Cessna Citation 310 was the most budget-friendly.

Needing the part as soon as possible to avoid delaying the corporate group’s planned schedule, the client chose to proceed with the Learjet. The boxed cargo was hand-loaded onto the aircraft and delivered to the receiving maintenance team in Arkansas less than four hours after receiving the initial enquiry.

The Finer Details

Trusted Experts: Leveraging our passenger division’s existing relationship with the client, we were able to introduce our cargo team to handle the request, who pitched our “aircraft on ground” (AOG) charter solutions as a faster alternative to overnight parts shipping.

Quick Thinking: When positioning was delayed by 45 minutes due to a minor maintenance issue, we quickly ensured there was a back-up aircraft available in case there were any further issues that might affect the time-sensitive operation.

24/7 Communication: We stayed in constant contact with the client, providing regular progress updates on the aircraft’s location so that the receiving maintenance team could be on-hand and ready when it arrived at the destination.
