Air Charter Service’s top travel trends for 2024

As tourism continues to boom following the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic, 2024 looks set to be another year of globe-trotting. Read on to discover our top travel trends for the year ahead, from multi-stop adventures to restorative mountain escapes, and find out how we can help you create the perfect trip for your clients.

Combining the Olympics with a coastal retreat

Sports tourism is set to be a big travel trend for 2024, with an increasing number of travellers planning trips to coincide with attending sporting events such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris this summer.

We can charter the ideal aircraft to fly your clients from London to the French capital to watch some of the Olympic action. The next morning they’ll jet off again for a two-night stay in Nice, a glamorous seaside city with a culture-packed old town on the sun-soaked Côte-d'Azur.

Reconnecting with nature in Japan

Offering an intriguing blend of modernity and tradition, Japan is a trending travel destination for 2024 – and with trips that help us reconnect with nature also growing in popularity, Hokkaido is top of the list when choosing where to go. From snow-capped peaks to glassy lakes, it’s easy to see why the country’s northernmost island is one of this year’s most sought-after travel spots.

We can arrange a private jet charter to transport your clients to Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, nestled at the base of Mount Yōtei in a scenic ski resort known as the “Aspen of Asia”. As well as enjoying epic views and seasonal cuisine, guests can ski in the mountains and bathe in mineral-rich hot springs.

Touring Europe’s capitals by private jet

European city escapes are as popular as ever, with tourists in 2024 frequently swapping whistlestop weekends away for longer breaks taking in several destinations. A private jet charter is ideal for experiencing several cities in one trip, with no annoying airport queues and each flight scheduled to maximise time on the ground.

Depending on your client’s requirements, we can source the ideal aircraft for a 10-night trip to five culture-packed capitals. Starting and finishing in London with two nights in each city, the route takes in the pretty canals of Amsterdam and Copenhagen, Berlin’s buzzing art scene, Vienna’s magnificent palaces and Rome’s UNESCO-listed ancient sites.

Glastonbury followed by a spa break

Music tourism – or “gig tripping” – is another big trend for this year, as travellers continue to embrace shared experiences following the social isolation of the pandemic. Lending itself perfectly to the theme, Glastonbury returns to Somerset in June with rumoured headliners including Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Shania Twain and Stevie Wonder.

Bypassing the traffic jams and queues, we can whisk your clients by helicopter from London to the ACS Helipad at Glastonbury for five days of show-stopping performances. The helicopter will then be waiting after the festival to transfer them to the landing pad at Cliveden House in the Berkshire countryside, to spend a few days recharging before heading home.

Embarking on an African adventure

Africa is home to many of the world’s most popular city-break and safari destinations. But while first-timers typically opt to base themselves in one area or resort for the entirety of their visit, customers returning to the region in 2024 are favouring diverse itineraries spanning several different countries. We can put together an immersive multi-stop adventure by private jet charter, helping your clients to uncover something new at every turn.

The trip starts with two vibrant cities: South Africa’s beating heart, the multicultural metropolis of Johannesburg, and Namibia’s charming German-colonial capital, Windhoek. Then it’s time to head off in search of incredible wildlife, from tracking chimpanzees through Rwanda’s tropical rainforest to spotting the awe-inspiring Big Five on game drives in Kenya and Tanzania.
